“Fairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” G.K. Chesterton
I’ve defeated my own dragons. More than that though, I believe in fairy tales. Let’s just say that I can’t walk by a mushroom, or a field of moss, or through a green forest and not keep an eye out for elves, fairies, and sprites. They are there; you have to believe,
The little boy in me refuses to grow up.
I’m a believer in things we can’t see. Why not?
Once we didn’t know that images could be transmitted through the air.

I’ve never written fantasy, but it’s something I’d like to try. It would certainly be along the lines of fairies and elves and gnomes.

Go for it! It’s great fun being un-tethered to reality (whatever that is).

Good for you! I think keeping a young heart and mind full of possibilities can cause us to live a lot longer than we otherwise would, and if it can’t well it certainly makes the time that we do have much more fun!

You must have the aspects of the magical child and the eternal boy in your inner child archetype. It is a beautiful combination. Makes the experience of life so much more exciting 🙂 I do believe in fairy tales too.
