Well, TwitBook came and electrified
Put-down words and the antikind
Pushed around the peaceful sign
New hope for the feeble mind
Polished speech from political swine
Faceless screeching twittering tool
Stubborn resistance like a mule
Spreading by-waste as a rule
Clueless, useless as a fool
Stuffing blinded eyes with wool
Rolled downhill like a stowaway
Stepped on you like a runaway
Took the dark one’s breath away
Tossed truth around like a throwaway
Couldn’t care less anyway
Passive faceless surrogates
Offending raging egoists
Venting weaponed languages
Bending society’s ethicists
Rending the social compactness
Who invented the internet
Mercenary techies uninvent
Gaming heads now crooked bent
Youthful hours long misspent
Golden ruling’s lost intent
Rolled downhill like a stowaway
Stepped on you like a runaway
Took the dark one’s breath away
Tossed truth around like a throwaway
Couldn’t care less anyway
Where did children’s voices go?
Rage today can’t stoop too low
But how much lower can we go?
What seeds in children do we sow,
When what is truth we don’t know
Well, TwitBook took it all away
Polite discourse so yesterday
Prostrate in beds from which we pray
For help to make it through the day
But self-help don’t help much anyway
Nothing uplifting left to say
Rolled downhill like a stowaway
Stepped on you like a runaway
Took the dark one’s breath away
Tossed truth around like a throwaway
Couldn’t care less anyway.
