Please read and share this lovely tribute from picture a poem Pictures and poetry by Connetta Jean
High on a hill all silent and still
sits a barn now tattered and torn..
though her paint has faded ( with words debated)
she shines with the time she has worn..
that date on the roof is faded
but it’s still hanging on
cause 2 hands from Heaven
are holding on to that farm..
2 hands from Heaven are keeping it safe from the wind
2 hands from Heaven are holding her up best they can..
the 2 hands that built her knew that a century she’d stand
2 hands from Heaven are holding her up best they can….
she may be leaning and pealing
all dented by slow moving time
Holding stories so old in her walls
that we’ll never find..
she’s bent and She’s bowed
a seed long ago sowed..
she’s weatherd through many a storm..
and the 2 hands that built her have held onto faith

What a wonderful poem and so true as there are a lot of those old buildings near me. Each time I look at one of them I will remember this poem.
