Heartbrache

Funny that, how the heart bursts the same way in grief and love.

    1. This is a line in my novel. I was trying to describe the dual feelings of my main character, and was struck by the similarity in the way the body shows joy and grief. As you say, people can mistake your emotion until you tell them how you really feel.
BTW, have you ever seen a smiling jogger? 🙂

  1. Yes! This is so true. Thanks for this. Its the exact same feeling. My grief is so intense but at the same time my deep love for my lover feels exactly the same. I thought i was going crazy the other day but then realized it’s two very different emotions with the same representation so to speak…

  2. I have this beautiful quote… it says: Grief, I have learnt is just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot.

    1. It continues.. sorry… All of that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, that lump in your throat and the hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go…
